Thanopoulos and P&G Join Forces to Create Pocket Park in Kifisia

A new green space for leisure and recreation has been added recently to the urban structure with the creation of the first pocket park in Kifisia. The pocket park, located at strategic points on Harilaou Trikoupi and Levidou Streets, is the 13th created by P&G under the program "Creating Pocket Parks, Making Our Cities More Sustainable," this time in collaboration with D. Thanopoulos.

The pocket park, extended in an area of 460 square meters, has been enhanced with more than 580 plants, including shrubs as well as perennial flowers and grass species harmoniously adapted to the park's unique characteristics. Urban facilties inside the area have been renewed, while amenities such as a fountain, bicycle ramp and autonomous photovoltaic systems have been installed to make it a meeting point for the residents of the area.

Pocket Parks are small green spaces created in undeveloped and underutilized areas within the urban structure. The benefits of creating pocket parks are multiple and diverse. These spaces can significantly contribute to the redevelopment of the urban environment and the improvement of living conditions and quality of life for the residents.
